Health Communication for Social and Behavioural Change (HCSBC)

The Alliance for Health has opened registrations for an online course on Health Communication for Social and Behavioural Change (HCSBC)

The course will take place between the 1st of September and the 16th of October 2022 (6 weeks/60 hours) and aims to contribute to the strengthening of the National Health System in Mozambique, though, among others, two strategies: (1) Raising awareness of the health professionals, activists from the social sectors, future professionals and activists of the importance of Health Communication for Social and Behaviour Change in health promotion and in the prevention and control of prevalent diseases in the country; and, (2) Improve the knowledge, attitudes and skills of health professionals, social sector activists and future professionals and activists, in new approaches and strategies related to Health Communication for Social and Behaviour Change.

The online course on Health Communication for Social and Behavioural Change (HCSBC) is organized by the School of Health Activism, within the scope of the Alliance for Health initiative, with the collaboration of teachers / consultants Lágrima Fabião Mausse and Juliana García Salinero, and the technical support of medicusmundi, under the programme “Improving the health of the population, with a focus on its Social Determinants and a special focus on nutrition, through the strengthening of Primary Health Care as the best strategy to guarantee the Right to Health and the collaboration of civil society, of research institutions and the SNS – 2019-2022”, funded by the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation for Development (AECID) and the Open Society Foundations.
