Online Course on Primary Health Care (PHC)

The course will take place between the 1^st of March and the 3^rd of April 2022 (5 weeks/60 hours) and aims to contribute to the strengthening of the National Health System in Mozambique, through, among others, two strategies: (1) Raising awareness of the current health professionals and activists on the importance of PHC in health promotion, as well as in the prevention, care, control and recovery of the most prevalent diseases in Mozambique; and, (2) Improving the knowledge, attitudes and skills of current health professionals and activists on the guiding principles and strategies for implementing PHC in Mozambique.

The online course on Primary Health Care (PHC) is organized by the School of Health Activism, within the scope of the Alliance for Health initiative, with the collaboration of teachers / consultants Lágrima Fabião Mausse and Juliana García Salinero, and the technical support of medicusmundi, under the programme “Improving the health of the population, with a focus on its Social Determinants and a special focus on nutrition, through the strengthening of Primary Health Care as the best strategy to guarantee the Right to Health and the collaboration of civil society, of research institutions and the SNS – 2019-2022”, funded by the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation for Development (AECID) and the Open Society Foundations.
